The Lore Of The Poltergeist

LIGHT YEARS BEYOND ANY OTHER BOOK ON POLTERGEISTS AND HAUNTINGS!If you are a reader who has greatly enjoyed – or has been inspired by – the works of John Keel, Dr. Nandor Fodor, Jacques Vallee or Hans Holzer, you will find this work to be an outstanding breakthrough book on the paranormal. Likewise, if you are just looking for something to titillate your sense of fear this is guaranteed to be a real page turner.

SIX MEMBERS OF THE DEFEO FAMILY WERE MURDERED IN COLD BLOOD IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT IN THEIR HOME IN AMITYVILLE, LONG ISLAND.

DEMONS WERE SAID TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE HIDEOUS SLAYINGS INSIDE WHAT WAS TO BECOME KNOWN AS AMERICA’S MOST POSSESSED DWELLING.

There remains a great controversy as to where the truth lies about this grizzly crime. Were all the events, as recounted in the bestselling book and the subsequent movies, true? Or was a hoax created for the purpose of cashing in on a horrific event that had captured the public’s imagination?

ALL NEW FINDINGS

Poltergeists come in all shapes and sizes and inspire varying degrees of horror. What might be surprising is that poltergeists are NOT necessarily the spirits of the dead nor the overworked, disordered personalities of the living often thought to have become possessed by demonic forces. That which we call a “poltergeist” could just as easily include a wide range of other unearthly phenomena, such as random denizens of the dark moving through time and space and other dimensions, as well as a manifestation of cryptids, known collectively as shapeshifters and “bedroom invaders,” and possibly even representatives of numerous alien races.

It is not always possible to remove a poltergeist utilizing such “tools” as blessed crosses and holy water. Such items may only serve to provide more energy to the “parasites,” who are often attracted to the mentally disturbed, and enable the spirit fiends to have a virtual “field day” that includes the tossing of heavy objects across a room, igniting fires, throwing knives and paperweights, causing animals to seemingly “talk” and, in extreme cases, even raping their helpless victims. As one researcher put it, “A teddy bear can work just as well for a child as holy water for a Catholic!”

Here, in pictures and text, are the most bizarre, the most terrifying and the most perplexing cases of poltergeist activity that you are likely to encounter, as investigated by the top paranormal researchers of today without bias and without relying on pre-existing conclusions as to what might be causing such unpleasant transgressions. And please note that these bloodsucking parasites can attack not only the most innocent of souls or the average dwelling, but have also been known to follow hysterical individuals across the vastness of the country while maintaining a stranglehold that in some cases is almost impossible to break.

Oklahoma Now Has Same Earthquake Risk as California

Californians have lived with the risk of a damaging earthquake for centuries. Now Oklahomans, and some Kansans, face the same threat, federal seismologists said recently. The risk of a man-made strike happening in Oklahoma is comparable to that of natural earthquakes occurring in California.

In an assessment released by the United States Geological Survey, experts said the chance of a destructive temblor in the next year is as great in parts of north-central Oklahoma and southern Kansas — where oil-and-gas operations have set off man-made quakes for about five years — as it is in the shakiest parts of quake-prone California.

As many as 3.5million people are at risk of man-induced tremors in Oklahoma, according to the report.

The warning came in the agency’s map of earthquake risks, a document that for the first time included the prospects for human-caused quakes.

“By including human-induced events, our assessment of earthquake hazards has significantly increased in parts of the U.S.,” Mark Petersen, the chief of the agency’s Natural Seismic Hazard Mapping Project, said in a news release.

The seismologists believe the risk of earthquakes has increased due to large volumes of wastewater being injected underground in what is dubbed the “Pipeline Crossroads of the World”.

Four other states where waste disposal has led to human-induced quakes — Texas, Colorado, New Mexico and Arkansas — face considerably smaller risks of damaging tremors, the agency said. About seven million people live in the areas at risk of a human-induced earthquake, most of them in Oklahoma and Texas.

Over the last 15 years, those states have experienced an explosion in oil and gas production, which releases huge amounts of toxic wastewater. That wastewater is disposed of by re-injecting it into the ground, into rock formations thousands of feet below the surface, increasing the pressure on existing subterranean faults, and causing them to slip and produce tremors.

Along with the economic boom from oil and gas exploration, Oklahoma has experienced a rising number of earthquakes. In an average year, Oklahoma has historically had fewer than two quakes of magnitude 3 or greater — roughly the level at which a tremor can be felt. Kansas has had even fewer such shocks. But last year, Oklahoma recorded 907 quakes at magnitude 3 and above, and Kansas registered 54.

Oklahoma now ranks behind only Alaska in earthquake frequency, followed by California.

Three of the quakes this year, measured at magnitudes of 4.7, 4.8 and 5.1, were among the largest in Oklahoma’s history.

Including Oklahoma and southern Kansas on the map reinforces what the Geological Survey’s scientists have said for some time: The huge number of small, human-caused quakes in the two states may have set the stage for a larger, more destructive one.

Despite the high levels, the forecast for the number of man-induced earthquakes in the southern central US state is actually lower than 2016, but the USGS says that there is still some way to go.

Mark Petersen, chief of the USGS National Seismic Hazard Mapping Project, said: “The good news is that the overall seismic hazard for this year is lower than in the 2016 forecast, but despite this decrease, there is still a significant likelihood for damaging ground shaking in the CEUS [central and eastern US] in the year ahead.

However, understanding the cause is part of the battle in bringing down the number of tremors.

Mr Peterson continued: “By understanding the relationship between earthquakes and wastewater injection, informed decisions can be made on processes such as controlling the volumes and rates of wastewater injected and determining which wells are most susceptible to inducing earthquakes.”

He added: “The forecast for induced and natural earthquakes in 2017 is hundreds of times higher than before induced seismicity rates rapidly increased around 2008.

“Millions still face a significant chance of experiencing damaging earthquakes, and this could increase or decrease with industry practices, which are difficult to anticipate.”

- A VISIT FROM THE FUTURE DEPARTMENT -

An Abduction from the Golden Age of Abductions
By Diane Tessman

On a cold, clear November evening in 1952, I was playing outside with my dog. I was four years old. The next thing I knew, I was up in the air in some kind of flying vehicle. I had but one fear: Would my dog be okay down there on the ground by himself? (He was).

It is strange that I felt no fear. I was calm and curious. Today I realize this lack of fear was illogical; by most standards I should have been terrified. Was I drugged or hypnotized so as not to be frightened? I don’t know the answer.

The pilots of the small vehicle paid no attention to me. I could see only the back of their heads. One of those looked like a giant grasshopper’s head – insect-like.

Suddenly I was in a corridor of some larger place. I know now it was a larger craft. I remembered many details and specifics of my time aboard this craft during my hypnotic regression with Dr. R. Leo Sprinkle many years later. These incredible specifics are available in my book “The Transformation” on Amazon and Kindle.

However I do have conscious memories too, which have always been with me. These are memories of sitting on an Earth-like bench with a human-like man sitting a few feet away, talking to me. He might have been using telepathy, I’m not sure. I describe him as “human but enhanced,” although I cannot define this specifically. His eyes were amber in color and seemed translucent. As bizarre as my experience was, it is the memory of this being which haunts me, and has motivated me throughout the years.

He explained that he and his people were from Earth’s future. He told me that he and I were to be part of a project which would be important to the human race. I realize I was only four but I understood these concepts at the time, almost as if I had his understanding of them.

I remember staring at what might have been a hologram across the corridor which was surrounded by a few plants and flowers. I realize now that the swirling hologram with its pastel colors of yellow, pink, and blue might have been a mechanism to calm my mind.

There was indeed a medical procedure; this is undeniable. At some point of which I have no conscious memory, a membrane in my mouth was removed. It was the membrane between the upper lip and gums, along the line of symmetry. Many years later, a plastic surgeon confirmed to me that it looks like a laser scar. A laser in 1952?

I first noticed the scar on the outside of my mouth when I was about nine years old and experimenting with make-up. As the years went along, I asked my parents many times how and when I got it. They had no idea. I looked into dental procedures or a possible birth defect which was corrected, and into every possible mundane answer. All of them were a resounding, No!”

The mouth is the most blood-nourished part of the body and has ideal tissue for cloning. But on the other hand, that tissue sample may have been used to cure me of childhood leukemia. I realize that I had symptoms back then which would have been tested today. Did these UFO occupants save my life or did they rob me of my DNA, or both?

Like many other abductees, I spent my entire adult life searching for answers to my childhood encounters. My second encounter took place on the shores of Eagle Lake, Ontario, in the same year.  Even today there are many UFO sightings over Canadian lakes.

In adulthood, I began receiving “downloads” within my mind during the years I was teaching school. I taught for eleven years in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, and in St. Petersburg, Florida. The messages I received were about a number of coming crises and catastrophes on Earth. These messages seemed to be from the being whom I had encountered at age four! The messages also stressed taking care of our planet and her life-forms, before it is too late.

Do I have any regrets? Should you feel sorry that these incredible experiences happened to me? Please don’t, because I would not change a thing! Yes, my encounters changed my life’s path in a number of major ways; they inspired me to learn about quantum physics, astronomy, astrophysics, ancient tribes and their histories, and so much more!

Because of my encounters, I was motivated to live in Kilkenny, Ireland, for five years and then to experience the Giant Rock area of the High Desert of California for two years where George van Tassel called the aliens to land in the 1950s and 1960s.

I then moved back to my native Iowa, right where my childhood encounters took place. Yes, there is plenty of flat, remote land here if the scout craft would like to land again, but what I have done with my ten acres is to establish our Star Network Animal Sanctuary and Wildlife Refuge, which has been flourishing for 19 years, helping uncounted animals in great need.

What have I concluded after being an investigator for MUFON and the Arial Phenomenon Research Organization (APRO) in the late 1970s, and then publishing my own books and publications for abductees and experiencers?

I believe that the primary purpose of our UFO visitors is to nudge humankind forward so as to achieve a higher level of collective consciousness. The UFO phenomenon is more about humans taking a step forward in our evolution than it is about the extraterrestrials.

I believe in the Human Future! We not only made it through these very difficult times, we will also become respected members of the Galactic Community!

Was Inventor Nikola Tesla a UFO Contactee?
By Sean Casteel

In the more than 70 years since his death, Nikola Tesla has never ceased to be a fascinating, mysterious figure dwelling somewhere outside the borders of history as it is understood by the unseeing masses. While we as a 21st century civilization continue to reap the benefits of his outsized genius, Tesla has yet to be given the recognition he deserves as a major architect of the relatively technologically comfortable age we live in.
Still, there are those of us who do give Tesla his due, belatedly but sincerely. This article will deal with an aspect of Tesla’s genius that has gotten short shrift even from those of us who revere his name: UFO contact.
And that theory is nowhere better espoused than in “The Lost Journals of Nikola Tesla” by Tim R. Swartz. Swartz’s bestselling classic has recently been updated and reissued by Global Communications and is worth a new look whether you’ve read the first edition or not.
I interviewed Tim Swartz a few years ago for one of Tim Beckley’s now defunct newsstand magazines, and Swartz laid out some historical background of Tesla’s earliest beginnings.
“Tesla was born in Yugoslavia,” Swartz said, “in what is now Croatia, at midnight between July 9 and July 10 in 1856. He had that spark of genius right from the very beginning. There are a couple of people, I think, throughout our history, that you could classify as a ‘super genius.’ That’s the best word I can think of. Most people would agree that Einstein was one of our greatest geniuses. Maybe Leonardo da Vinci. And Nikola Tesla should fit right up there with those guys, because he just seemed to have this mind that was open to the universe.
“I suppose that’s a rather esoteric way of looking at it,” he continued, “but he had the ability to visualize his ideas to such a point that he could actually ‘see’ what he was visualizing in three dimensions. As he put it, ‘It seemed to hang in the air right in front of my eyes.’”
Nowadays, Tesla is best known to the general public as the inventor of the AC motor.
“Our entire system of electricity,” Swartz explained, “works with AC current. In Tesla’s day, Thomas Edison had come up with a system to deliver electricity to houses and buildings based on the DC current, direct currents. DC current works fine, but it can’t be sent over any great distance. Probably every half mile to a mile you would have to have a station that would step the power back up again and send it on for another half a mile or so. A very inefficient system, and really only good for close areas, like New York City. That’s where Edison had initially done some wiring.”
Tesla, by contrast, created a motor based on alternating current, which can travel hundreds of miles before it has to be retransmitted. This was a revolution for its time. Tesla came up with a working version of an AC motor and was the first to build, at Niagara Falls, a massive power generating station that supplied electricity to New York City.
“It was cheap, clean, efficient, and it actually worked,” Swartz said. “That’s probably Tesla’s greatest claim to fame.”
Tesla followed up that achievement by inventing radio. Though popularly credit for radio is given to Marconi, the Supreme Court declared some years after Tesla had died that Tesla’s patented radio devices had preceded Marconi’s and that Tesla is officially the father of radio. Tesla also created the first remote control device, which he demonstrated by directing a small battery-powered toy boat through various maneuvers on a lake as newspaper reporters looked on. He also designed a torpedo for use in warfare that was remotely controlled.
It was while working on a radio receiver designed to monitor thunderstorms that Tesla stumbled onto something quite extraordinary.

“Tesla thought that possibly he had received a radio signal from outer space,” Swartz said, “that could conceivably be from extraterrestrials. Which is a pretty amazing concept for his time. People in that era speculated that there could be life on Mars, but nobody suggested it too seriously. Tesla was conducting experiments in Colorado Springs, Colorado, in 1899, with a pretty good-sized radio receiver, because he was fascinated by the way lightning played in thunderstorms. He was trying to come up with a way to harness the power from thunderstorms.
“And one evening,” Swartz continued, “he received what he called ‘regular signals.’ You know, like beep, beep, beep. Not the usual static you hear from thunderstorms and lightning. He wondered at the time if he wasn’t listening to ‘one planet greeting another,’ as he put it. From that point on, it became somewhat of an obsession of his, to build better and better radio receivers to try to see if he could repeat what he heard. He got to the point where he claimed that he was actually receiving voice transmissions. He said it sounded just like people talking back and forth to each other. He made notes saying that he was actually hearing intelligent beings from another planet talking to each other, although he didn’t know what language they were speaking. But he still felt he understood them.”
An interesting point that should be made here is that at the time Tesla was hearing these alien voices through his primitive radio equipment, 1899, the country had just experienced the great Airship Wave of the late 1800s. No less a UFO expert than researcher and historian Dr. David Jacobs believes that is when true UFO contact first began, in the skies over America, when people familiar only with hot air balloons as real life flying devices began to see metal ships that flew over their homes and farmland, abducting the occasional cow and speaking to bewildered farmers in languages beyond their understanding. While one hesitates to abandon the more familiar Ancient Astronauts theory that says alien contact began with mankind’s birth in prehistoric times, Jacobs’ belief does tend to support what Tesla claims happened to him.
This also begs the question: Did aliens have some kind of part in leading Tesla to create what he did? It is argued in the controversial book “The Day After Roswell,” by the late Colonel Philip Corso and his collaborator Bill Birnes, that recovered alien technology was reverse-engineered and used to lay the groundwork for numerous inventions, including fiber optics and much else in the way of technology we take for granted today. One sometimes wonders if the aliens more likely are implanting the seeds for, or even directly “inspiring,” through some process of implanted thoughts, some of the marvels of the current age.

In any case, there is likely some kind of overlap here between Tesla’s voice contact and the inventions that came later, though it is of course impossible to prove. Tesla felt the voices were slowly preparing mankind for conquest and domination. In “The Lost Journals of Nikola Tesla,” Swartz goes on to recount the spine-tingling chronology of Tesla’s battle with these aliens he believed to be an enemy race, all set against a background of industrial espionage and governmental secrecy that would make for a crackerjack science fiction tale were it not for the fact that the events are alleged to be completely real.
Tesla later went public with his claim that he was receiving extraterrestrial voice transmissions and was subjected to the usual humiliating ridicule that greets UFO witnesses today when they try to speak openly of their experiences. But he remained firm in his conviction that the voices were genuine and posed a terrifying threat to life on Earth as we know it.
Global Communications publisher Tim Beckley provided more input on the connection between Tesla and UFOs.
“There are many who believe,” Beckley said, “that Tesla was actually a ‘star child’ of sorts, that he was born on another planet and left on the doorstep of his adoptive parents. This speculative theory was first offered in a long out-of-print book by Margaret Storm and a later book by our own Commander X titled ‘Nikola Tesla: Free Energy and the White Dove.’
“The idea that Tesla was born off-planet,” Beckley continued, “seems to have originated with a gentleman named Otis T. Carr. A Baltimore MD and inventor, Carr claims that he worked side-by-side with Tesla for years and that he discovered bits and pieces of the great inventor’s life that no one else knew about, including the fact that Tesla wasn’t originally from ‘here.’”
According to Beckley, Carr later went on to invent a saucer-shaped device that he said for a mere $14 million would take us to Mars or somewhere else nearby in the solar system.
“Carr was a controversial figure in his own right,” Beckley added, “but no one has been able to prove that he didn’t work with Tesla in Manhattan, where Tesla was living in the New Yorker Hotel near Herald Square. We do know that Tesla was fascinated with the possibility of life on other planets.”
Beckley reiterated Swartz’s statements regarding Tesla’s attempts to establish contact with the aliens via radio.
“And he might have been successful in reaching out to the stars,” Beckley said. “Furthermore, Tesla is said to have even developed a ‘Tesla Scope’ that anyone could use to make contact with extraterrestrials. The device was on display in Canada for several years before its owner passed away.”
Now a few words about the title of Swartz’s book. Tesla died in 1943, in poverty and relative obscurity. As he moved from hotel to hotel, staying one step ahead of his debts, he often left behind whole suitcases full of notes and diagrams for unfinished inventions. Legend has it that after he died, the federal government stepped in and confiscated the material, believing it contained designs for new weapons devices and therefore was relevant to national security.
But apparently a few things slipped through the fingers of the government. At a 1976 auction in Newark, New Jersey, a collector named Dale Alfrey bought four boxes of papers for around $25. Alfrey at first thought he had purchased the notes of a science fiction writer and had no idea of the importance of what the boxes contained. Twenty years would pass before Alfrey began to actually read the material and to try to preserve the badly mildewing papers by scanning them into his computer. While he was absorbed in this effort, he was visited by a trio of Men-In-Black who looked to him like “undertakers.” They offered to buy the papers from Alfrey, who replied that they weren’t for sale.
After further discussion, which included some disturbing threats from the MIBs, the three visitors turned in unison and walked away. Alfrey felt himself to be regaining consciousness after being in a kind of trance. When he rushed back inside, the papers were gone, and so was the hard drive to his computer. He never completely recovered from the experience with the MIBs, but he did retain enough of what he had read of Tesla’s lost journals to be sufficient for Swartz’s book. Meanwhile, newspaper accounts from the time of Tesla’s death related that a dozen large boxes of Tesla’s notes may still be unaccounted for, perhaps waiting to be rediscovered and give up their secrets in our time.
This newly revised and expanded second edition of “The Lost Journals of Nikola Tesla” by Tim R. Swartz also contains new chapters on Time Travel, Alternative Energy, and Nazi flying discs, all of which help to expand the range and depth of the legacy Tesla has left to us to assist in our 21st century groping for technological mastery of our world. If we ever learn to travel in time or to take our energy directly from the forces animating the universe or even to slip the surly bonds of Earth in a disc-shaped craft of human design, our debt to Nikola Tesla can only increase.

Some Past Life Memories
By Robert McLuhan

There’s quite a bit of new activity in the reincarnation research category of the Psi Encyclopedia. This piece by Jim Matlock discusses patterns that can be found in the research. Karen Wehrstein has contributed an entry on adult memories, and another on claims to have lived as a famous person.

There’s also a fascinating case study about detailed memories of a life as a sixteenth century Spanish woman, written by Stephen Braude, who for once finds it quite impressive, even though being a regression case it wouldn’t normally be considered particularly evidential. Karen is working on case studies, including two well-known and unusual Indian cases: Sharada-Uttara and Sumitra-Shiva, which will be uploaded shortly. And Erlendur Haraldsson has contributed an entry on a particularly detailed Lebanese case that he investigated, Nazih Al-Danaf, and plans to write other articles in the coming months.

I should also mention that Matlock and Erlendur have co-authored a new book, I Saw A Light and Came Here: Children’s Experiences of Reincarnation, published by White Crow. I ordered it from Amazon, and it came just today, so I can’t talk about it in detail, but it contains a number of unfamiliar cases, and a lot of what looks to be interesting analysis.

That’s the bulletin part of the post over. I’m going to hand over now to a lady called Adri D, who got in touch recently to describe her own past life memories as a child. I quite often hear from people about their experiences, and am always glad to get them, but I thought this was especially interesting, and she’s happy for it to be shared here. Thanks Adri.

*** ***

Adri D writes: When I was a young child, from about the age I could start talking until I started school (approximately), I spoke frequently about my "other family", especially my other mother. I often commented when seeing my mom do something that my "other mommy didn't do it like that" - for instance, things she did around the house, the way she prepared food, and really all matter of things. Also, I couldn't accept my name – I was insistent that my name was Jennifer.

Extended family thought it was quite funny, definitely chalking it up to imaginary friend-type talk, and admittedly I was a bright and imaginative child. However, I would often become frustrated and annoyed with the way things were done in our household and the rules my parents lay down; at other times I expressed benign surprise. My parents tolerated it and took it lightly, but did not encourage the talk.

As I got older and, I suppose, more used to being a member of my own family, the talk and references faded. However, it took me a very long time to accept both my first and last names, and I despised revealing the information to people as a child. It just felt so wrong to me. I still have vivid memories of feeling that I had another family, (even though I don't actually consciously feel that way any longer), and somehow knowing things about them. I also remember feeling that I was from someplace else, and indeed belonged somewhere else – and in fact I still feel that way, at age 38! I had cousins from Alaska who would come down and visit every couple of years or so, and Alaska became in my mind the place where I might be from. This is definitely something that I may very well have made up – I don't think it’s Alaska itself that is very significant, or perhaps even the name Jennifer, but rather this very strong feeling that I was from somewhere else, that I had another name, that I WAS someone else!

(I do still very much want to visit Alaska, and I'm preparing for a spiritual journey there.)

I fully admit this could all be the workings of my imagination, and have never really made a big deal out of it. I learned about the eastern belief of reincarnation when I got interested in Buddhism and certain New Age concepts as a teen, but never made any connection to my own experience and memories until I first heard of children who remembered past lives via a book I had found in my university library while searching for books on Theosophy, (I was a philosophy major, it was VERY dry) and immediately I thought to myself in a very calm way, "oh my God, that explains it."

I told my mom about it the next time I was visiting. Although we are Catholic (at least in upbringing) she has an open mind to these things, and so do I. It truly sobered her to hear the stories of the kids who'd been studied, and she revealed that she had found my talk of another life and family very creepy, and it disturbed and hurt her. She said she never encouraged it, and was relieved when it stopped. My mom is a very content woman spiritually and doesn't feel the need to research things and get too philosophical. But she definitely thinks that if anyone came out of womb yammering on about their past life, it was me.

Another perhaps odd thing about me is that I was always prepared for disaster, especially in the night. I had significant insomnia and night fear as a kid, and would lie awake for hours, listening. I would also sometimes sleep in my shoes, and sometimes my school uniform, and I would be very worried that someone would find out, but it helped ease my anxiety that I would be able to escape the house all ready to go, in case the need arose. One night when I was about 9, we actually did have to evacuate, because our next-door neighbour's car port had gone up in flames for some unknown reason. When I heard my parents shuffling around before coming to get my sister and I, I was calm and ready for action.

Reincarnation has never fascinated me all that much – one might think it would, but in fact I can't even get through books or television programs about these kids who feel that they remember a past life- they just can't hold my attention! Not entirely sure why. (I have no qualms about accepting the possibility of reincarnation on anecdote alone, though my favourite after-life possibility is post-death survival of personality leading to a transition into complete union with God).

That being said, plenty of other topics that you address on your blog do interest me very much. I have always been a keen seeker, and consider myself to be quite psychic, intuitive, and sensitive. I’m a very late bloomer, evolving into each new stage of life very slowly and cautiously. I feel that if my memories really are indicative of a past life, it was a life in which I died young. In my most transcendent moments, and in certain dreams, I even feel sometimes that I can actually remember things from OTHER lives – it’s just a quality of feeling that arises when I think of certain dreams or visions.

I had this very strongly once when some military planes in formation flew over our city in salute, the morning of our suburb's annual air show - when those planes flew overhead I had a terrible, transcendental dizziness, and I actually peed my pants I was so scared. I was shaking for hours afterwards. It was one of the most terrifying moments of my life, but I cannot explain why, and obviously I never thought consciously that I was in any danger. A very strange experience indeed.

I’ll conclude by saying that it's not anything I feel I'll ever need an iota of "evidence" for, and certainly I would never feel I had to convince anyone of this. I have opened up about it with different people and everyone has found it very easy to accept. For other friends of mine and people I know that feel that they have experienced stuff like ghostly and alien encounters, precognition, telepathy, and communication or contact with the dead, there also seems to be this calm acceptance and not a hint of needing to prove it to oneself or anyone else.

In terms of "dyed in the wool skeptics" and people who have a very materialist view of reality, I think that this might have a lot to do with their spiritual constitution. Some people are just not cut out for experiencing the world this way, and they get intensely annoyed whenever anyone starts talking about anything that they term "woo" because it's like everyone is speaking a language they know they'll never understand.

I deal with a lot of people from Taiwan in my work, and they have a complex spiritual worldview that I find very interesting. One girl was explaining to me that whether or not you will have any kind of sensitivities or aptitude for spirit communication is something you are marked with at birth, and that's just who you are or are not. I thought that was very interesting.

Woman Says Her Home is Haunted

A terrified mom is refusing to live in her ‘haunted’ council flat after she claims her one-year-old son became disturbed by spirits.

Tacy Bruce believes the Long Close Lane home, in York, is inhabited by ghosts and has not lived there for two months because of the toddler’s behaviour.

The 21-year-old beauty therapist claims the ghouls have shared the home with her for months and often hide her belongings.

She claims they have scratched her back and reduce her son to tears.

The one-bedroom flat has been blessed three times, including by Canon Alan Sheridan, the parish priest at the nearby St George’s Catholic Church, and visited by Lillyanne, a psychic medium, who broadcasted her visit here on facebook.

Play Video Long Close Lane Long Close Lane However, City of York Council has refused to move Miss Bruce and left her with no option but to stay with her parents.

Miss Bruce shares the home with her partner Daniel Morley and says the supernatural beings have taken the form of a small child, a man and an animal, and has videos of ‘orbs’ or beams of light moving quickly across the room.

“I’m petrified to go back there with my son,” she explained.

“I feel uncomfortable in there and the atmosphere changes at night.

“My son would be screaming from morning to night and as soon as he came out the house he was a completely different child.

“I’m sick of people telling me they are reflections, light or dust.”

Miss Bruce claims to have never believed in ghosts before moving into the home, but a number of unexplained supernatural events have left her scratching her head and scared to be alone.

She said she woke up one morning to find the contents of a Calpol bottle poured across her cooker despite leaving the lid screwed on and returned home one day to find her coffee, tea and sugar jars rearranged.

On other days she claims to have switched off her son’s toy car only for it to still make a noise, and says her purse has gone missing for 45 minutes just moments after she gave it to her son to hold when he became inconsolable at what Miss Bruce claims was the ghosts tormenting him.

She added: “I’ve felt like something is making me angry and it changes how I think and feel.

“I’ve never believed in ghosts before but I do now and nobody can say to me ‘they don’t exist.’”

James Bailey, landlord services manager at City of York Council, said: “In line with our usual assessment processes, we have considered the evidence provided, visited the property and interviewed the tenant. We have found that this case does not meet the criteria to move the tenant, who we have advised on their rehousing options.”

"Goblin" Terrifies Children in Argentina

A group of Argentinian children have been left too terrified to play football after they believe they spotted a goblin on their pitch.

Eerie footage filmed by one of the youngsters shows the group running happily around the pitch after the ball until the filmer suddenly spots what appears to be a mysterious figure at the side.

The small, dark shape crawls slowly forwards, moving awkwardly, seemingly neither man nor beast.

The child zooms in on the unusual being, which advances steadily, and cries out in alarm.

Moments later the boy begins screaming at the top of his lungs and he and his pals run madly away from the creature in a desperate bid to escape.

The alarming incident took place in the city of Santiago del Estero in the northern Argentinian province of the same name.

Local media also described the strange figure as a goblin and reported that the children's parents said that they were too frightened to return to their pitch to play football.

One mother described it as a 'paranormal phenomenon'.

Goblins are monstrous mythical creatures first mentioned in European folklore in the Middle Ages.

They are usually described as small and grotesque, mischievous or evil, and greedy, especially for gold and jewellery. They often have magical abilities.

This is not the first time that goblins or Imps have been seen around Santiago del Estero. In June, 2011, Scott Corrales reported in his blog Inexplicata that according to residents, there appears to be a creature that hits people. Locals have taken to calling it "the dwarf", and police have cautioned people to avoid walking alone at night.

The Nuevo Diario de Santiago del Estero newspaper reports that residents allege that the imp appears in the pre-dawn hours, adding that it also attacked a child on its way to visit a friend's house.

Another local was startled by the creature as he went for a ride in his bike. The creature supposedly wore "an enormous hat and had large ears."

Father Juan Cruz Fariña of the San Miguel Arcangel church believes that it could be "a product of magic" and if so, "The Church could attempt an exorcism in an effort to expel demons from the possessed body." However, he explained that "nothing about this case suggests a possession. It could be many other things, such as fanciful imaginings or confusion by the people of Suncho. I therefore ask everyone to take matters calmly and above all, to have faith in God. There is an explanation to all phenomena."

Corrales also notes that cases involving supernatural entities variously described as "imps", "dwarves", "goblins", etc. have emerged from Argentina on many occasions. Skeptics have scoffed at these accounts, decrying the ignorance of the local population. These manifestations are nonetheless recurrent and appear to select certain areas of the vast Argentinean countryside, such as the city of Saenz Peña or Santiago del Estero. No photograph or sketch accompanies this report. In a certain way, the description given of this imp is reminiscent of the "little man wearing a hat reminiscent of a Mexican hat" in Farmersville, Texas, in 1913.

Mystery Sea Creature Washes up on Philippines Beach

Residents of an island community in the Philippines are baffled by a white, hairy “sea monster-looking blob” that washed up on a beach recently.

Images of the two mystery creatures quickly went viral on social media after the carcasses were spotted on the shore at Cagdianao, Dinagat Islands, south-west of the capital Manilla.

Experts are also divided over the strange sea sighting.

ufenia Chua of the Cagdianao Municipal Agriculture Office told the Filipino news service ABS-CBN News the creature was likely to be a sea cow.

That was based on skin found near the shore and because of previous sightings of sea cows in the area, ABS-CBN News reported.

The carcass was 4.5 metres long and washed up along the beach at Kantigdaon, Poblacion, Cagdianao, Dinagat Islands, Ms Chua said.

But conservation group Marine Wildlife Watch of the Philippines believed the “sea monster-looking blob” was “definitely a whale”.

“We suspect it is a decomposing carcass of a sperm whale. But only if we see the skull or do DNA analysis can we confirm that. But definitely a whale,” Director AA Yaptinchay said.

Mr Yaptinchay said his group did not have the resources to get to the site but was in contact with local conservationists in the area.

Municipal authorities would examine the carcass and investigate the cause of death, according to ABS-CBN News.

The carcasses are the latest in a string of unusual sea creatures that have reportedly been spotted on the islands recently.
Earthquake fears

Giant oarfish have been washing up elsewhere in the country, leading to fears an earthquake may soon strike.

Considered “messengers of the sea”, locals believe the deep sea serpents and other creatures are swept to shore by strong currents that are followed by earthquakes.

At least eight people died and more than 120 were injured when a 6.5 magnitude quake struck in the Surigao province, in the south of the country, earlier in February.

The term that has been given to these unidentified blobs of tissue is "Globster". This is a technical term used by cryptozoologists to refer to mysterious carcasses that originate in a watery environment. Mostly, globsters come from the ocean, though some are found on lake or river shores, or even in the stomachs of dead whales.

One of the most famous globsters is the St. Augustine Monster.

It was first spotted by a couple of kids riding bikes on the beach on November 30, 1896. It had sunk into the sand under its own weight. Only about half of it was visible to the boys. They thought it might be the leftovers of a beached whale, because something similar had happened in the same area a couple of years before. They reported the blob to a local physician, who went to the beach to inspect it the next day. He estimated that the carcass weighed five tons and that it might be a giant octopus because he could make out what he thought was four arm stumps, with another stump buried in the sand nearby.

A chunk of the blob was preserved at the Smithsonian, and over the years it has been tested by various scientists. The most recent, conducted in 2004, concluded that it the globster had once been a whale.

In fact, research is now showing that most of the globsters are probably just big chunks of blubber that have fallen off decomposing whales.
