"THE PROMISE" - UPCOMING FILM RELEASE ABOUT A MAN WRONGFULLY IMPRISONED FOR OVER 30 YEARS

Jens Soering - in prison for 30 years, 8 months and 11 days.

Jens Soering is a prize-winning author of nine books who has been unjustly imprisoned since 1986. On July, 26-29, 2016, new DNA evidence came to light that conclusively proves his innocence. A petition for an absolute pardon was filed on August 22, 2016, and is currently pending with Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe. With a programme packed with filmmaker Q&As, masterclasses, discussions, special events and an online hub accessible from anywhere in the world, Bertha DocHouse is the home of documentary.

From January 13 to 20, 2017, Bertha Doc House will present "The Promise" exclusively in the Curzon Bloomsbury, The Brunswick, London, WC1N 1AW.

The film "The Promise" is broadcast In Great Britain by our co-production partner BBC exclusively in March 2017 on television in a length of 117 minutes. Subsequently, the BBC offers the Directors Cut version as a series with a length of 6x28 minutes under the name "Killing for Love" at BBC video-on-demand service  Storyville. Storyville is a documentary portal, presented by the BBC, which shows the best of international documentary films.The exact release dates will be announced shortly.
